Windows & Doors

“Winch Construction was very professional from the bid, to the completion of the project.  I was really impressed not only by the quality of the work, but how efficient the work was.  they installed our windows in the middle of the winter, our house was never cold.  They started on Wednesday and had everything cleaned up by Friday!”  Kevin Collier ~ Bend, Oregon

If your windows are more than 15 years old, you may be putting up with draftiness, windows that stick in their frames, and increasing energy bills. Energy-efficient windows and doors would be a great improvement.  Window replacement is one of the best home remodeling projects in terms of investment return: For vinyl windows, you can recoup 78.7% of the project cost in added home value, according to Remodeling Magazine’s annual Cost vs. Value Report.

To install new windows correctly, we adhere to the following simple steps:

  • Do not depend on just the trim and the housewrap to stop water from penetrating the window/door opening. We seal the perimeter of the openings with sticky sheets of self-adhering waterproof membrane and make sure we thoroughly caulk around the window frame to create an additional water tight barrier
  • Make sure the window is plumb and level when installed
